Lin, it was our first time at Scheels ... we kinda took one small tour and went back out. Nothing for us there, at this time ... maybe once #2 is out and I'm back to trying to play tennis I can revisit the place :) Or finding a swimsuit thingy for me so I can take the kids to play in the pool.. :)

btw: Little Saigon's good great food, but give Hawaiian BBQ a try too. They are on the corner of Monroe & Lawrence (just West of Bruns/Chatham). Their Thai menu is awesome, and seriously, best Crab Rangoon in town :)

We had Thai food at a little place, but now I can't remember the name of it. Gees, the portions were HUGE!

I made my own baby foods and it wasn't all that hard--just get a good machine to puree. I have a little one so it isn't that expensive--you don't need anything fancy.

You will be so surprised at the colors the foods are in comparison to what you buy! The food you make just looks so much more appetizing and healthy.

Just cook the food in batches and have the containers ready. You can make and freeze a lot of baby food in no time at all! Once you do it, you'll be wondering why you didn't all along.

Thanks Robyn, I appreciate the thought! :) But yeah, you can 'hide' a lot of stuff in spaghetti sauce, for your blissfully unaware family to consume :)) One of these days I'll take a critical look what I have in the kitchen and see if I even have the capability of steaming/cooking the food, and whether my cheapo food processor (never used!) will suffice to puree it all for the kid

Ha, I'll mail you all my homemade baby food! I made it in such huge quantities that she's not only sick of it, but now she's past the whole puree thing and won't touch it! So much for all that effort. ::sigh:: I froze the servings in a small ice cube tray so the servings would be easier to thaw - I hear you can add carrots to things like spaghetti sauce to up the nurtients, so I guess the rest of the fam will be enjoying the baby's leftovers. :)

I have some nasty callers on my cell phone--a number that apparently belonged to a real dead-beat. And talk about nasty!! WOW. I no longer answer any call that I don't recognize. I guess that is your only re-course or call the phone company (if it is a land line) and have them trace and stop these harassing calls.
