Moan-day?

I'm baaaaccckkkk!! Survived the in-laws despite a four-day exposure, LoL!

... my waldorf salad was a hit, as was my pumpkin bread :)

And got back in time for snow to finally hit Chicago, and STICK.
Out come the snow boots!

I need to get caught up with what's been going on in the world. I know something really bad happened in Mumbai, gotta read up on that. Putting that off a bit though, I know it's going to be grim.

So in the meantime, here's a nod of thanks to my top Entrecard droppers of the last month or so, made especially more meaningful considering I had been rather lax this past month, what with naNo and all...:
  • Is 8 Enough? (31)
  • Journal of our homeschool family's daily activities and general happenings.
  • Lofty Matters (31)
  • A general collection of what I find interesting

  • WindMill on the Hill (28)

  • 1 Blog and 2 Sides (27)
  • A collection of favorite recipes that chilly and I have tried and taste great or ones we would like to try.
  • fwaggle.org (26)
  • I'm a late 20-something hacker, with a penchant for programming, hardware hacking, and video games.
  • Everything Under the Sun (23)

  • What about Brazil? (23)
  • The country is emerging to become one of the next world power.

And a big thank you to those to not only accepted my ad requests, but somehow got the ads clicked on many many times in the past month :)

Ciao, and have a great start to December.

  3. Welcome Back!

Sorry, I couldn't hit 31 drops. Just can't when I am away for 3-4 nights in Indonesia each month. :(
The Internet support over there just sucks.

    God Bless you!

  4. Congratulations on surviving the in-laws. Four days is a bit much.

I survived my sisters visit with her husband. Thankfully it was a short one. He is a real tool. (And not the sharpest one in the shed.)

After the turkey and watching them play way too many video games with my kids we all headed off to their hotel so my kids could go swimming. Just the kids went this time. I sat at a patio table and read the newspaper, as did my sister who kept complaining how dry the air was in the hotel. Didn't seem dry to me. Anyway, she says and I'm quoting here "Man it's so dry in here I can feel my eggs drying up....(long pause) I mean feel my legs drying up...the skin on my legs." I don't know how I held my composure without bursting with laughter, but I did. The thing is, my sister wasn't saying it as a joke (she's not a jokester type), it was just a freudian slip. (She has no kids.) I'm still laughing thinking about it.

  5. Chewbies> tagged? where? I dropped by yr chuffville.blogspot.com site but didn't see anything that involved tags...

Kat> heehee always glad to help bring a smile, or a roar of laughter, to anyone :)

Windmill> Please don't stress yourself out about not dropping every day! I make it a point not to hold anyone to any expectations about all this dropping business. I appreciate that you do drop by often, and I thank you for it.

LoLa> my hubby says I'm exaggerating because we only spent around 72 hours (we left Thursday afternoon, and returned Sunday evening) so it's actually 3 days of exposure. I don't buy it, LoL! Thanks for sharing about the Freudian slip - I don't think I would have been as restrained as you were! :)
