We accept the love we think we deserve

ponder upon that, dear readers.

... on another note: H/T Dawn for finding this page featuring some amazing paper sculptures [my fave on that page is Down the River]. There's more of Mr Callesen's work here [check out Holding on to Myself]. I am totally blown away by this. Would love to see him at work! Or to own something of his! It's really really really amazing!! Have I mentioned that I am really really totally blown away? I don't usually gush, after all, do I?

This weekend is kinda weird - Kosh is now in a different rotation/section within the hospital, and is on what they call home call: so he's not needed at the hospital, but needs to be page-able, contactable, and of course, able to get his butt to the hospital within a reasonable amount of time if needed. So it's kind of a limbo state: free to be at home/do stuff, but shouldn't be committed anything, so no movies, not going out to eat, etc etc etc. That's okay, he needs to be doing stuff at home anyway, but still - it's a bit of a weird setup.

And yes, until the powers-that-be reached down and rearranged his schedule, this was how he would have had to be next weekend. Which would not have been workable since we're going to be about 1.5hrs away from the hospital!

Still very glad everything seemed to fall into place.

In less than a week I am gonna be mizzuz naranek!

Madness and mayhem for the next week or so.

Yay!

  1. Wow! I was blown away by those paper sculptures too. But those seem to be pretty expensive papers he used there.

Oh and advanced congratulations to the future Mrs. Naranek. :-)

  2. I am not able to post being logged in, as I have blogger beta now. Annoying! I hope they fix it soon.

Yeah it is so true... The quote "we accept the love we think we deserve". Unfortunately for many people this means being with abusers and cheaters +++. It is really sad I think.

    Monsoon :-)
