Hello,
We are pleased to announce that in a bid to sensitize the entire world, we have embarked on a promotional lottery and you have been randomly selected as one of the winners. This process was carried out using our bulk emailing software to randomly select email addresses from a pool of over 50 Million email addresses worldwide. The monies accrues from the bulk sum of monies we have unclaimed in our unclaimed account from jackpots winners who never came to claim their winnings either as a result of being unaware of due to some negligence on their part as regards proper handling of their tickets/winning numbers.
This effectively qualifies you for the selection along with five other winners to jointly share the total prize of 15 Million Euros (Fifteen Million Euros) of which 3 Million (Three Million Euros Only) is your Prize money.
It goes on with "Conditions for claiming Prize" and right at the end, warns me that:
aarrrggghhh... please tell me this is for real???!!! har har har... i can only dream.... friggin scam spam... pui!
There are a lot of emails circulating round which either claim to be Dutch National Lottery or some many other forms of lotteries. Please note that they are no good and their primary aim is to scam you of your hard-earned funds so beware!
calling all web-crawling email addy-collecting bots!! more addys for y'all!!
(UPDATE: found this site, and forwarded the email to the addy provided, supposedly the Netherlands authorities are interested in receiving copies of correspondence pertaining to a Dutch address or telephone number. Hope I didn't inadvertently spam someone!)
(UPDATE#2: wow... i just checked sitemeter, and it looks like, of the past 100 hits recorded.. THIRTY of them were searches for essentially "spam email datetodayy.com" ... because of this post, obviously. wow. lots of people got that email recently too??)
